Pegasi are a very powerful and versatile species to start with in Pony Origins.
Pegasi have the option of the unique Talent Rocket Dash, a powerful and dangerous charge attack!
Pegasi function well in open areas, due to how flight works. Use it to scout out the area for everything you need. In addition, practice flying up out of danger, and being mindful to have a clear upward path to escape danger with. Avoid building single block-wide hallways, entrances, and low ceilings, as these will routinely cause you to smack your wings into them and fall at the worst possible times. As with all quadrupeds, keep one inventory slot clear to take advantage of the speed boost. Only equip a shield in the offhand when it's necessary, and if you haven't found / can't grow food yet, take full advantage of the ability to eat in-world blocks by seeking out the nearest flowers, tall grass, or tree leaves.
Pegasi have their heads in the clouds. To fly is freedom, and the air is safety. Confined interior spaces, dense woods, narrow caves, all these things make a Pegasus nervous, if they can't escape into the air. Flight is the Pegasi's one true advantage. When it is utilized, Pegasi can easily clear the land of monsters, simply by staying out of reach. Flying low to use melee, then flying high and using a bow to stay out of reach of archers, the strategy is simple, but effective. On a more civilized note, Pegasi are often contracted as fast travel agents, easily shuttling supplies or other ponies via air travel to distant destinations. Pegasi can also be seen helping with building tall structures, as flight makes building these things much easier. It is also noteworthy that Pegasi often build their homes in the clouds, using them to support the structure and airgap the homes from the dangerous grounds below.
