Earth Ponies are an easy and sturdy species to start out in Pony Origins.
Unique to Earth Ponies is a more powerful version of Flora, which consumes half the energy per use than the universal version.
Earth Ponies are easy to start out with. As soon as you are able, plant some seeds and saplings, then use Flora to immediately grow all the food and wood you need. As with all quadrupeds, keep one inventory slot clear to take advantage of the speed boost. Only equip a shield in the offhand when it's necessary, and if you haven't found / can't grow food yet, take full advantage of the ability to eat in-world blocks by seeking out the nearest flowers, tall grass, or tree leaves.
Earth Ponies are the backbone of Equestrian society, and are criminally underappreciated. Their strength, hardiness, and ability to grow everything with unparalleled speed and efficiency makes them the most common pony to see on the farms and performing hard labor. However, because they don't have a horn or wings, they are often seen as a "lower caste", but without Earth Ponies to grow food in the naturally harsh, arid land of Equestria, the other two pony tribes would have starved and died out long ago.
