Installing on Ubuntu

Software Requirements

• Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Desktop or Server
• LXC (LinuX Containers). Install it using:

sudo apt-get install lxc

RapidFTR Ubuntu Installer

• Get the Ubuntu installer from the Releases page
• Click on the downloaded file to start installing
• Or if you are on the server and you don't have a GUI, run:

sudo dpkg -i <downloaded-deb-file>

Offline Installation

• Software packages in Ubuntu are managed using apt-get, which requires an internet connection to run
• RapidFTR Installer can be copied and run offline in any machine, provided the Software Requirements are met in the machine

Hardware Requirements

Following are the minimum hardware requirements:

• 1 Ghz Processor
• 2 GB RAM
• 10 GB Free Disk Space (for RapidFTR + all required software)
