Operation

Once installed, and the vehicle is powered up, navigate to the the SCRIPTS/TOOLS directory and select and long press the Yaapu GCS.lua. Then press EXECUTE to start the script.

Navigation to SD card directories varies by radio:

  • X9D: Long press the MENU button, and PAGE to SD card directory
  • QX7: Long press the = button, and PAGE to SD card directory
  • Horus/T16: Long press SYS button, and PAGE to SD card directory

In later versions of OpenTX, a long press on the menu/= or SYS button will instead first bring up scripts in the TOOLS subdirectory, instead of the Radio Setup page for quicker selection:

You can also copy or move Yaapu GCS.lua from the TOOLs subdirectory to the root of the SD card for immediate access once the SD contents are displayed.

Display Pages

Once started, the program will display "detecting vehicle" to determine vehicle type, and begin downloading parameters. Several default pages of parameters are provided for each vehicle type. These can be paged through using the PAGE button. Additional pages can be added, see the Customization section of the wiki.

When a new page of parameters selected, the current values of those parameters will be downloaded. Each parameter can be scrolled to using the transmitters scroll buttons/wheel and selected using the ENTER or wheel press. The values can then be changed with those same buttons/wheel and a final ENTER or wheel press will upload them to the autopilot.

Also, some commands can be sent to the vehicle and are on the last display page: various Calibrations, Reboot, Mode change, etc.

This script can be operated concurrently with the Yaapu Frsky Telemetry Script, however to display telemetry this script must be exited. The bottom line of the screen will display the ground control station messages sent from the autopilot during this script's operation.
