DevEnv

This guide assumes that you have a running installation of OpenStack, installed by devstack. In order to develop on the OCCI API outside of the VM follow these steps (also there's a good guide here ).

Checkout openstack nova

git clone https://github.com/openstack/nova.git

Install nova's dependencies

cd nova/tools
pip install -r pip-requires

Copy or link nova/etc/nova to /etc/nova

Configure /etc/nova/nova.conf so that

[DEFAULT]
rabbit_host=$YOUR_VM_IP_ADDRESS
rabbit_port=5672
rabbit_virtual_host=/
rabbit_userid=$RABBIT_USER
rabbit_password=$RABBIT_USER_PASSWORD

Checkout openstack keystone

git clone https://github.com/openstack/keystone.git

Install pyssf

pip install pyssf

Checkout occi-os

git clone https://github.com/tmetsch/occi-os.git

Install pycharm

Add nova and keystone as project dependencies

Run runme.py with the following parameters:

--verbose --glance_api_servers=$YOUR_VM_IP_ADDRESS:9292 --sql_connection=mysql://$NOVA_DB_USER:$NOVA_DB_USER_PASS@$YOUR_VM_IP_ADDRESS/nova

In pycharm's console, you should now see:
