ed v2.1.1

The Unix line editor, ed, version 2.1.1.

The ed editor supports many 32- and 64-bit systems, but binary packages are currently only available for GNU/Linux. In particular:

• RPMs are built under Fedora Linux 41 and support RHEL 10-based systems (CentOS Stream, Rocky Linux and AlmaLinux) as well openSUSE Tumbleweed.
• Debian packages are built under Debian Linux 12 (bookworm) and support Debian-based OS's, including Ubuntu 24.04.

Please refer to README for documentation and examples of extensions. The Texinfo manual and man pages will be updated in a future release.

Pending: Add AES encryption. Deprecate DES encryption.
