For reference: the type annotation issue was fixed in aiohttp 3.5.3 (released January 8th) with aio-libs/aiohttp#3511, which explains the different behavior we observed. |

This should help with a wheel installation issue we see internally. Also I'm trying to fix the build, I'm not sure why all of a sudden it thinks the
type: ignorecomment is not needed anymore - or why it was required originally.
