While looking over our documentation today, I noticed that manifest-parser.md is very outdated at this point. It still contains references to removed methods such as filterNewPeriod, and it still references the periods array. It seems that, while we did make an upgrade-manifest.md to explain how to upgrade your manifest parsers, we forgot to modify the tutorial for new users writing new manifest parsers.
