Welcome to the WorkflowExtractor wiki!
To use Workflow Extractor, follow the steps below
- Extract the zip file into a folder where the current user has R/W access. This is specially required when you are using Windows OS that has UAC enabled.
- Execute WFE.exe
- Selecting the rules file
- If you have the rules file with you for your project, Click on File menu > Load Rules Files (or press F3)
- If you have the assembly that uses Windows Workflow, Click on File menu > Load Assembly (or press F2). This may take sometime based on the size of the assembly
- Once the assembly loads, click on the appropriate Rules file in the top most list box in yellow color.
- Double click on the Rules file to load the content of Rules file.
- Once you are able to view the content of Rules file selected in the step #3, you can click on the menu Build > Extract C# rules or Build > Extract VB.NET rules
- The code file is generated in a sub-directory 'wfe' in the executable directory

- The Word document (compatible with Word 2007, 2010, 2013) file is generated in a sub-directory 'wfe' in the executable directory
