This application can be configured through environment variables. It is highly recommended that you specify your environment variables within centrally within a .env file at the root directory of the project so that docker can infer the values when deploying the container on the host.
The following are the configurable environment variables:
UI_PORT=3535 # Port on which to deploy the application.
HUB_PAGE_TITLE='Drink more water!' # Main title of the static page.
In order to deploy with docker you must have docker
and docker compose
installed on your host machine.
> docker -v
Docker version 20.10.17
> docker compose version
Docker Compose version v2.10.2
For user reference docker
and docker compose
can be installed by following the official instructions outlined at the following links:
Using either option below will build the application's image based on the official node
image from dockerhub and deploy the application to the host machine's IP with respect to configuration environment variables set within ./.env
.
Option I: docker compose
docker compose up -v
Option II: Makefile
make deploy
Alternatively, to deploy this Next.js app is to use the Vercel Platform from the creators of Next.js.
