We examine websites supported by SEO-company UpMention through backlinking. Clients of UpMention are mentioned on the bottom of www.upmention.nl. For the following domains data on backlinking is collected from www.ahrefs.com (see data folder):
Clusters of backlinking sources are indicated in the notebook Backlinking source analysis. Some insights:
- startpagina.nl, wazzzup.nl and blogspot.com are domains used for backlinking for Djoser, Inholland and Vattenfall.
- In total, the domain startpagina.nl has ~61m backlinks. In comparison: according to ahrefs.com popular websites, such as nrc.nl and wikipedia.com, have respectively ~5.9m and ~11.4m backlinks.
- ~9k out of total ~15k backlinks pointing to upmention.com are rooted in the website of beauty salon yczs. For instance, click on 'Gifts & specials' in the footer of the website.
- The Swhalian Wikipedia page about Internet is used to backlink to www.upmention.nl. Click on the link ’No cure no pay zoekmachine optimalisatie’ at the bottom of the page.
