DFX WinTweaks 24.7.1

DFX WinTweaks is BACK!!!
This is a "comeback" release, so there are no big improvements, but there are some quality of life (and internal) stuff happening :D

What's new in 24.7.1:

• Version scheme has been changed to NumDate/NumMonth/NumRelease.
  (For example, if this is 24.7.1, then, 24 means 2024, 7 means July, and 1 means that this is the first release of that month)
• Updater will no longer crash when called from the Start Menu.
• The string versionDate has been removed as it is no longer used.
• The seLogonExit function has been removed as it is no longer used.
• When closing DFX WinTweaks, the CLI will now have just text instead of the classic XP-Style shutdown screen that was introduced in DFX Tweaker 1.7.0.

DFX WinTweaks 3.6.1

DFX WinTweaks 3.6.1 is out now!

What's new:

• Disable/Enable Driver Updates has been changed to Disable/Enable Automatic Driver Updates to make it more understandable.
• When disabling Automatic Driver Updates, the confirmation window now includes this "Optional Driver Updates will still work".
• Disabling/Enabling Automatic Driver Updates will now add an extra registry key that is known to work on older builds of Windows 10 to maximize compatibility, and don't worry, depending on your Windows install, it will ignore one key or another.
• The updater now has its own banner, called DFX WT - Update.

DFX WinTweaks 3.6.0

After a month of rest and another of (slow) development, finally, DFX WinTweaks 3.6 is here!
(Yes, this version has been re-released)

What's new in this release:

• Presets has been disabled for now to avoid issues and OS corruption.
• All menus now have an horizontal layout. (However, this will not apply to WAST: Shutdown Settings and when a menu has 3 options or less)
• The Enable/Disable all system bandwith in Performance Tweaks menus has been changed to Enable/Disable full system bandwith
• The hardcoded loading time to load and unload WAST: Shutdown Settings has been removed and its banner will no longer be separate from the menu. (Updated to 1.5)
• The Use Windows 11 default desktop icon spacing option in the Customization menu has been removed because it was just a bug in early builds of Windows 11 22H2 when installed from scratch. Post an issue if you want this back
• Added an option to Disable/Enable driver updates on Windows Update Settings
• Fixed some typos.
• This version also includes the new major version number scheme, going from 3.6 to 3.6.0 (this will apply to newer versions as well)

DFX WinTweaks 3.5.2

DFX WinTweaks version 3.5.2 is here!

• Returning to the menu from Customization settings will no longer crash, as well as going to the equivalent Restore menu.
• The "Back to menu" and "Back to previous menu" from the Customization settings were leftovers from an older version and have been updated to "Return to menu" and "Return to previous menu", respectively.

DFX WinTweaks LTS 3.3.4

This is a Long Term Support release made for Windows 8.1 and older

What's new in this release:

• The updater from the Standard release has been backported to LTS, but it will download the newest Standard version.
• On start, the manual Restore Point message has been moved to the pre-UAC screen an now lasts 2 seconds instead of 5, this has been backported too.

Hotfix for November 7, 2023

• If you use Windows 7, Windows 8.x or a server equivalent, trying to update DFX WinTweaks will result in a Updates are disabled for your system. DFX WinTweaks is no longer supported on this version of Windows. pop-up.

DFX WinTweaks 3.5.1

DFX WinTweaks 3.5.1 is a small quality release.

What's new:

• The updater will now jump straight to the Start Menu if the latest version is already running.

DFX WinTweaks 3.5 is here!
This isn't a super release, but still, a nice one.

What's new:

• On start, the manual Restore Point message has been moved to the pre-UAC screen an now lasts 2 seconds instead of 5.
• And... the best piece of the cake, DFX WinTweaks now will tell you if there's a new version (only if you have internet) and it will open the browser to download that version automatically, the non-browser updater isn't built into the script yet (i'm working on it).
• The Check for a new release option in the Start Menu will now use the same updater that appears when DFX WinTweaks is starting.

DFX WinTweaks LTS 3.3.3
I felt ESR (Extended Support Release) wasn't a good naming scheme, so I renamed it to LTS (Long Term Support), and don't worry, the support window will remain the same.

DFX WinTweaks 3.4.3

What's new in this release:

• WAST Shutdown settings has been updated to version 1.5, including 2 new options:
  - Disable Hyper-V and reboot
  - Enable Hyper-V and reboot
  These new options are mostly meant for people who usually get their hands dirty with VMs (Virtual Machines), just to have a quick way to disable Hyper-V.

READ THIS: Hyper-V is only available on Windows Pro Edition, so if you use Windows Home Edition, you don't have to update to this version.

DFX WinTweaks 3.4.2 / DFX WinTweaks 3.3.2 ESR

What's new in this release:

• Using any option from the WAST shutdown settings or Safe mode settings will no longer fail if Windows is installed in a location other than the C: drive.
