In the unreleased main branch, the trace export files are missing the top level data wrapper --
{"resourceSpans":[{resource_spans}]}. This was a bug introduced in #909. I've fixed this and added an assertion in the test.I'm not adding a changelog entry since this is a fix to an unreleased, changelog-documented feature.
I thought about using
instafor snapshotting the tracing output, but I might do that in another PR.
