The final Approval will be granted at the GA4GH Steering Committee.
There are submission windows during which products can be submitted for approval. The closing date for submission for approval is at least 10 weeks prior to the Steering Committee at which it will be evaluated.

- Open - Close: dates when the Product Approval Form, and supporting forms and implementations, are recieved by the Secretariat
- Final Document Submission: date by which the sub-committee approvals have been obtained, and presentations for Steering Committee and final changes have been made to the specifications
- Steering Committee Meeting: date of the GA4GH Steering Committee at which the product announcement will be made
