Following the completion of Move the study pages out of the NREL CMS#784

To-Do

  • Show the Join Pages to real-people to get feedback on how to improve them

My thoughts to improvements:

  • Move the "Data Collection" section to below the "Install the NREL OpenPATH App on Your Phone"
  • Put a light gray box around the entire "Install the NREL OpenPATH App on Your Phone" section
  • Change the App store and Google Play links to be buttons
  • Put a darker gray box around the Join the study section and move it to the very top, as a banner
  • Update the images of the app to reflect the new UI changes (the new color of Blue, etc.)
  • Maybe, split the page into 2 columns, and put all the install info on the left, with all the study information on the right
  • "What does the app do?" Is a question people may ask. The current title format (using Open-access study's title as an example) "National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Open Access Study. Thank you for participating in the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Open Access Study." does not really answer that question. We should have a header that stresses This app can track your carbon footprint (graphics of cars, bikes, people walking, etc. and the environment like clouds, CO2 logos, etc. would clarify this.

The phone display for the website should be the most important part, as we will be sending this link to people on their phone, to have them download the app.

Here's a mockup to reflect the above changes (for the Open-Study page on the old CMS page, now we are out of the CMS so translate these changes to the new link)
