The UK Vat validation API now requires authentication: https://developer.service.hmrc.gov.uk/api-documentation/docs/api/service/vat-registered-companies-api/2.0
I'm willing to accept a PR that adds support for this but in the meantime I'm removing support for the API since the current implementation doesn't work.
