Welcome to the PIDKiln documentation!

PIDKiln is my attempt to create versatile and convenient PID temperature controller.

I needed something to control my custom made ceramic kiln. On the very beginning it was Linux laptop with APC smart power strip (more like rack PDU) and cron jobs. Later, with new kiln, I've switched to dedicated PID PC410 controller. But it was lacking in many ways (I don't know if it was because it was know off, or because it was limited for BGA soldering only). Since then I've been using this PC410, but I kept in my mind need for something nicer - until the time came to do it :)

So PIDKiln is PID temperature controller, for any task involving high temperatures - like burning ceramic, glass fusing, soft metal melting, burning lost wax casting forms - and probably much more.

It has many neat features!
