👋Hi Kentico GitHub community!
It's been some time since the last update. Christmas is long gone, we've all got used to the new product name - Kentico Kontent, but there is some exciting news we'd like to share with you. Read on!
JAMStack Support
GatsbyJS
GatsbyJS ecosystem received several great community additions lately including taxonomy support by @mattnield and a transformer plugin for assets by @rshackleton.
The source plugin has also been updated with the new items-feed endpoint support (more on that below).
Make sure to use the version 4.3.0 to enjoy all the new goodness.
We are also be adding new types of webhooks to Kontent in order to support deeper integrations with static site generators (such as Gatsby Preview).
Jekyll integration
Thanks to @radoslavk, Kontent has now support for yet another static site generator. This time, it’s a Jekyll plugin, along with a sample site, and some cool improvements in the Ruby SDK. Radoslav did all this as part of his diploma thesis.
Rich Text component for Vue.js
The package is actually a Vue.js extension to our Kontent Delivery JS SDK. It replaces the
resolveHtml
method provided by the Kontent Delivery JS SDK to display value of rich text elements.Integrations
Google Spreadsheets Import Add-On
@kentico-ericd created an import plugin that allows you to import content items from Google Spreadsheets (and transitively also from Excel ones). This is a low-effort, low-cost option if you don't want to create own migration tool but still want to avoid manual copy-pasting.
commercetools Product Selector
Are you looking for a good way to integrate an eCommerce platform with Kontent? Give a try to commercetools. @ChristopherJennings made it easier by creating a plugin for product selection.

Looking for other options? Read Unlock the Power of E-commerce in a Headless World by @makma.
Automatic Keyword Extractor
This custom element for Kentico Kontent gives editors a way to automatically generate keywords for an item based on the content in it. You can choose one of the two algorithms:
It was created as a part of an internal Kentico hackathon. We'll publish more results of the hackathon soon. Stay tuned! :)
Kontent API Changes
Did you know that you can now subscribe to API changes via RSS? 🎉 I strongly recommend it not to miss any important update.
The latest API change that took effect on February 1, 2020 is:
The good news is that our JS & .NET SDKs already support the new
items-feed
endpoint, as well as the Gatsby source plugin does. More SDKs will come in the future.Sit Back & Relax 🎥🎧
Watch us live on Twitch every Wednesday. @OnyxPrime and @ondrabus explore the JAMStack world (and previously Blazor) bit by bit and learn new things every week. Beware: the show’s very authentic and you’ll see developers fail, debug, and generally suffer 😁. If you missed the previous shows, check them out on YouTube:
Also, make sure you don't miss @mcbeev's latest Kentico Rocks podcast where he interviews @diger74 on how he became a member of the Kentico community. They also talk about Kentico 2020, Kentico MVC, etc.
