MewsFeed implements a novel feature called "Protocols".

Protocols are "grammars of interaction" applied to every feature of MewsFeed that enables two or more users to interact. At this time, we distinguish protocols for information sourcing, content integrity, and participation. More may follow.

What is the purpose of a protocol?

To structure user expectations, available actions, and interaction patterns. A protocol makes explicit the logic governing a particular form of activity and, depending on the protocol and its implementation, may provide programmatic or user-enacted forms of enforcement.

How do protocols work?

A protocol is created, maintained, developed, and governed by an individual or "social organism" using the "How" Holochain app. A protocol typically consists of a stated purpose, an operational description, and any other relevant information pertaining to its use or governance.

What types of protocols are there?
