VTC (Video Time Calculator)

VTC (Video Time Calculator) is a simple script designed to calculate the total playback time of videos within a specified folder and its subfolders. Follow the steps below to install and use VTC:


Prerequisite

ffmpeg winget install ffmpeg


Installation Steps:

  1. Download: Download the vtc.bat script from the "Download Raw file".

  2. Copy to System Directory: Copy the downloaded vtc.bat file to C:\Windows\System32.

  3. Navigate to Video Folder: Open the folder containing your videos. You can navigate to this folder using File Explorer or cmd.

  4. Run Script: In the address bar of the File Explorer window, type vtc.bat and press Enter.

  1. Wait for Calculation: A Command Prompt window will appear, initiating the calculation process. Please wait a few seconds for VTC to scan through the videos and calculate the total playback time.

  2. View Results: Once the calculation is complete, the total video time, including videos within subfolders, will be displayed in the format HH:MM:SS.
