I have posted this on Stack Overflow and waiting for some guidance. It looks like Skype uses a mix of Markdown and XML to as the text format and this is causing the email address to be converted as an XMM instead of Plain Text.
Workaround
Provide the domain username when signing in.
I entered the email address to sign in and the Bot response with an error.
