I noticed from the last 2 updates, that when you update WooCommerce it changes to the folder structure: adding a log folder to enable logging is "reversed". This obviously has to do with the fact that you install the new version and remove the old, but this is not really handy, because it means that I loose the logfiles (payment and errors) and I have to manually add the folder with the right ownerships and rights again.
Is it not possible to add the log folder by WooCommerce? In other words, make the log folder part of the WooCommerce plugin? Then the next step would be to save the logfiles before updating ...

We're going to include the log folder with a deny from all htaccess, however, keeping logs after updates won't be possible since all plugin folders are deleted by the WP updater. I don't feel logs should be kept permanently anyway - our logs are for debugging only, not a permanent logging solution.
