On Windows, tar and gzip are not native. I would expect most folks to be using
Windows Subsystem for Linux
(WSL) on windows, in which case the Linux version will work fine (and tar/gzip are readily available).For folks not using WSL, the release should include a zipped binary to make it easier to extract.
