Adding video crashes client

I'm trying to write a post with an mp4 video but it apparently doesn't use any good player or anything marking the video as such until it is loaded and when I try to embed a link to the video, it doesn't work neither.

and with a bigger video the video just doesn't show at all until it gets shown minutes later to then crash the client:

This is on Firefox. Correction: Chrome Version 119.0.6045.199 (Official Build) built on Debian 12.2, running on Debian 12.4 (64-bit)
