How to directly clear the content in the input box

As the question is, I don’t know how to refresh the input box without any sense and remove the content just entered. update-menu will only refresh the item, and open-menu will update the entire menu and cause flickering. May I ask Is there any way?

Since the commit above, you can use the new menu-action interface to cancel the search or update the query.
