Hi, I'm using HA Core so I can't use add-on.
Is this sw installable and usable NOT as an add-on?

Hey there,
thanks for showing interest in my project :) The add-on is a docker container so it can be launched without relying on HA. Unfortunately the add-on can't be used only having HA Core installed at its current state, because the communication between activity-assistant and Home Assistant relies on the supervisor API. I will change the way the add-on communicates with HA in the future. I have exams coming up so this may take a while :/ I will let you know, when the changes are implemented and upstream.

Hello Chris, long time ago you had in plan to switch from supervisor API to another way.
I think also some api in the meanwhile has been deprecated / substituted.
Are you still working on this?

Thanks a lot, bye
Dario

Hey there,
yes, I picked the project up again. Sry for the late reply. I did update the supervisor API for the current HA version. With the Home Assistant integration, I plan on developing in the future, the communication between HA and Activity Assistant has to rely on HAs Long lived access tokens. Therefore I will migrate the base to work with either and make dependence on the Supervisor API optional. I am not sure when this is going to happen, but hopefully this year ^^

Hey Chris, I kind of started down the same journey and watching your video presentation on Youtube. I haven't seen a lot of work done in this area and your experience is useful. Are you still looking at this at all, or interested in it? I haven't taken a look at your code yet. My approach to this was going to be a little different then what you did. If you were still working on it, I was curious what you've learned since then.
