Is Gemini 2.0 already supported?

Does Spring AI support Gemini 2.0 already? The new model is not listed in the documentation and seems to cause issues, see #2185. Is there anything the community can assist you with?

I received an e-mail today stating that certain models will be discontinued in the near-term:

We're writing to inform you that starting April 2025, we’re discontinuing certain Generative AI models on Vertex AI and transitioning to Gemini 2.0 models.

We’ve put together some additional resources to help you understand the upcoming change.

What you need to know
The following models will be discontinued on the dates listed:

April 9, 2025: PaLM, Codey, Gemini 1.0 Pro (including all fine-tuned versions), Select embeddings models
May 24, 2025: Gemini 1.5 Pro 001, Gemini 1.5 Flash 001, Select embeddings models
September 24, 2025: Gemini 1.5 Pro 002, Gemini 1.5 Flash 002
