"Docker image" is an incorrect term, not only for Red Hat, as it refers to a competitor (the Docker company) but mainly because the container landscape has standardized around the Open Containers Initiative (OCI) and Docker products abide by OCI standards, as well as Podman, Kubernetes, Kata Containers, Rocket, and other runtimes, engines, and orchestrators in the market.
