i think we can abstract this properties vs traits thing to reuse code: group#created <> identify#created

we can rename / alias properties to alias.
i think #9 can solve this :)

ah yup, we want to refer to it always as traits now for both groups and identifies. and then we can alias to properties for now for backwards compat
