Triggering App Layout by launching an app

Howdy,

First, thank you for an amazing programme that helps keeps me organised.

I have four apps that when I am working I have setup using a 1/4 of the screen each.
This morning I found the App Layout feature.

Thing is, I don't want to trigger via yet another keyboard shortcut I have to remember.
I would like it triggered when I open one of the apps - I am more than happy if it has to be the same app as it has a trigger.

Is it possible to trigger App Layout another way than keyboard short cuts or a url?

Thanks for the feedback! Triggering an App Layout when a window opens is a hidden, experimental feature that I haven't added to the UI. You can enable this with the following steps:

1. Execute this Terminal command
   defaults write com.knollsoft.Hookshot windowOpensAppLayoutOption -int 1
2. Restart the app
3. In the configuration for an app layout there will be a checkbox for applying the layout when a window opens.

The reason that this is hidden/experimental is because the only way to achieve this is to continuously poll all of the windows.
You can also configure the polling interval with this command followed by an app restart (0.5 is the default):
defaults write com.knollsoft.Hookshot windowPollSeconds -float 0.5
