following up on this issue, there are a few things that need to be added to the token system

  • scope selection in the web gui
  • more scopes for the api to restrict access
  • oauth system with the same optional scope restrictions
  • rate limiting for third party api calls (through using personal access tokens or oauth - anything that's not normal client usage)
  • show when the token was last used and when it expires / if it already did
  • create a redis cache for preventing multiple lookups of data, and writes of when the token was last used.
