Model snap tool - clicking on visual doesn't always highlight triangle #1955

To reproduce:

insert two models, e.g. box and sphere
click on snap icon in toolbar
pick a triangle on sphere -> works fine
Press ESC to cancel
click on snap icon in toolbar again
pick a triangle on box -> works fine
repeat the last 3 steps - > no triangle is highlighted on box
