GitLab Support #35
Comments
Thanks for the suggestion! we'll pass this on to our product team! |
This would be a great feature. Please keep in mind, that there are also self hosted GitLab CE instances. The metadata of these should be shown too. |
+1 |
This looks like an oldish request, but it would be so great if this happened. npm is an important part of the modern open source ecosystem, and the more that important services like you guys can treat GitHub and GitLab on a level playing field, the better both providers will become, due to having to compete on features instead of having more integrations in other services. |
I want it. 👍 |
Could you please display a link to a GitLab repository as an accessible link? When I use the following shorthand: gitlab:antora/antora The link appears as: git+https://gitlab.com/antora/antora.git This link cannot be followed in the browser, thus making it confusing for visitors to find the project. Can you please display it as a normal link like you do for GitHub repositories? |
I found that setting the |
@hbetts I noticed that. Unfortunately, that means it's not possible to use the homepage field to point to the actual homepage. |
Links on repository's url property of repos hosted on gitlab are "broken": eg: https://www.npmjs.com/package/semantic-release-gitlab |
The npm website does not integrate with GitLab to provide GitLab metadata information on a per-package basis.
For example, I cannot view the number of stars, and open issues and merge requests, for my semantic-release-gitlab project, which is hosted on GitLab
