folders with many files behave weirdly

Steps to reproduce

1. folder with ~15k files
2. open it in the app
3. it’s empty
4. search for e.g. dog
5. files like dog1.png dog2.png are now permanently visible in the folder, but the rest is still missing

Expected behaviour

the other files should eventually show up, without me abusing the search function

Actual Behavior

Both the App in the Files App only show files i explicitly searched for before

Reasoning or why should it be changed/implemented?
