What version of Music Assistant has the issue?

2.4.2

Have you tried everything in the Troubleshooting FAQ and reviewed the Open and Closed Issues and Discussions to resolve this yourself?

  • Yes

The problem

I'm playing an album from my NAS (Plex Server) and transfer the queue to another Chromecast Player group. When I then access a Home Assistant/Music Assistant Widget (Media Player Widget) it doesn't update the appropriate widget with the album that's playing or allow for volume control. Similarly, the speaker in my Dashboard didn't show something playing, or allow for volume control.

How to reproduce

Create a widget in Android for a player group. Start playing something on a different player. Transfer that queue to the first player with the widget. See if the widget provides the correct information.
