The original notebook UI shows "Busy" on the top of the page to indicate that the kernel is running.

I guess this feature should be supported in Native Notebook version. So far we need to manually check each cell in one notebook to find out whether it is running (or do we have any idea currently?)

Thanks for the suggestion. We might be able to add this to the status bar at the bottom:
