  • Removing Spring configuration from ShardingSphere apache/shardingsphere#22469 determined that SpringBoot Starter no longer exists for ShardingSphere. However, if a com.zaxxer.hikari.HikariDataSource is generated through the ShardingSphere JDBC Driver, it cannot be unwrapped into a org.apache.shardingsphere.driver.jdbc.core.datasource.ShardingSphereDataSource that can modify metadata.
  • This actually requires the active creation of a org.apache.shardingsphere.driver.jdbc.core.datasource.ShardingSphereDataSource spring bean to facilitate modification.
  • I will update the article and this git when the next version is released.
