Description:

The documentation for Vue DevTools is missing some information.
A fresh Laravel application with latest Nova does not have the testbench bin file.

Please document the complete list of the required steps to get the dev tools working.

You can install nova-devtool. Follow the install steps then skip to enabling the devtools.

@ChrisS02 That's exactly what I did.
I accepted all the defaults from that setup wizard and ended up with a workbench directory where I tried figuring out how to get migrations running, how to not reset the db each and every time i run composer run serve and so on. I kind of got it working in the end but with some added clutter that I didn't want in my repo.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for more specialized tooling that in the end enables developers to have a quick, smooth and insightful addition to their development workflow.
My experience with nova-devtools tells another story though. I'm not a regular user of testbench, let alone workbench. It's probably user error from my side why it ended up in such a jumbled mess, so I don't blame the tooling.

All I'm trying to say is that it would be nice to have a list of commands that I can simply copy and paste and move on with what I'm trying to achieve as it was for Nova v1 throughout v4.
