Lifecycle of a script / widget - updating on the fly

Let's say I want to start up a widget and then bring it to be always on top when karabiner calls kar with some params, how would I go about that

Sorry, I'm completely new and still learning, but I read many threads and have not seen anyone asking this. I watched one of the videos and I saw time-in-london popping up a new widget every time a script is run.

Is there a recommended way of approaching this?
