Converting Gen2 MQB to PQ

Hello, I'm currently trying to figure out whether it's possible to retrofit a Sound Actuator to a Golf 6 (PQ) car.

I picked up a Gen 2 Sound Actuator from a Polo GTI (6C0), so far I've understood that only Up GTI's (1S0) are still PQ based therefore it's firmware should be flashed onto the module to communicate with PQ cars.

From @NumberOneBot's own fork, I noticed the 1S0 UNLOCKED firmware, but flashing with either VagCanPro or ODIS-E ends up completing but there is no change with the module (it's as if the data has not been changed since all part numbers remain the same)

I've come back to @jilleb's original project and was able to successfully flash any of the firmwares and the part numbers would also change accordingly, but of course these are still all MQB based so I'm currently struggling to find the issue with flashing the PQ 1S0 Firmware onto it.

Firstly am I correct in my understanding that Up GTI is still PQ Based so the firmware should play well in PQ based cars? Then also whether anyone has any advice with converting the MQB Gen 2 into PQ Gen 2 as flashing the 1S0 Firmware seems to make no changes.

I kinda gave up quite quickly. Mainly as I sold the car to buy a MK7.

I don’t remember exactly how it ended but I believe briefly I assumed the MK6 gateway wouldn’t see the module, and that to replace the gateway with something similar to the Up would cause other problems.

@passiw . I bought a missing soundaktor 4h0907159A kit on Aliexpress. I also want to try to install and make it work on a VW UP 170 TSI from Brazil. I'm trying to base it on the A9 firmware of the VW UP GTI from Europe. I want to help you understand more about this conversion process from MQB to PQ.
