In general, the feedback is positive regarding the new "power distribution logic" feature in newer firmwares. There is some discussion about changed bits in the limit commands for persistent limits. See tbnobody#2523 (comment) and tbnobody#2153 (reply in thread) for starting points. |

I've read in the release notes about the new integrated compensating for shade from hoymiles.
Now I wonder if there is any reason why one should not do the firmware update and stick to the status quo and let openDTU handle the workload still?
On paper it seems to me that if the hoy-firmware works good there should be no plus doing it with openDTU or is the hoymiles algo not really that good and I should not update? Any experiences appreciated.
I'm running my Hoy via two battery systems (growatt noah) and there are moments where I have to limit output from one because of different shading/charging and also on bad days one is empty earlier than the other so I really "need" this overscaling...
