This is a collection of issues when using dotnet tool:

Not working on zsh (or unix in general) because PATH is not updated. https://github.com/dotnet/cli/issues/9321 and [global tool] FAKE dotnet global tool is not found on zsh #1951
Tool 'fake-cli' failed to install, can be caused by the MSBuildSDKsPath environment variable. Unable to install using dotnet tool install #2324
(fixed in SDK) "The application to execute does not exist" fake-cli 'tool path' install doesn’t seem to work on OS X/linux #2013 and https://github.com/dotnet/cli/issues/8829
