In many tiling WMs (e.g. i3/sway) floating windows are by default "always on top" / "sticky".
It would be great to have this as a setting for forge as well.

Expected behavior: All Floating are always on top of all tiled windows => 2 global window layers: 1. floating, 2. tiled

BTW: Thanks for this extension. Best tiling experience on Gnome so far, feels more like i3/sway than the others I've tried (Pop Shell, Material Shell, PaperWM)

Hi @jthomaschewski - thanks for the report.
This was actually a feature when I initially added the floating mode that it would always display on top. I think I removed it because of the inconsistency with the hint border. But I'll consider adding a toggle on it on the prefs.js if some prefer that.
