understood, mostly. so could SuperBridge be used with Layerzero OFT? I guess this is apples and oranges as you said: it would be weird to send a OFT token over the SuperBridge but it is possible? I'm trying to decide whether the native token for a potential chain should be OFT or some sort of other ERC-20 that is compatible with SuperBridge. It seems the one requirement that may have some custom development is #2 (Implement the ERC7802 interface) from this link you shared -- https://specs.optimism.io/interop/token-bridging.html). The idea is a native ERC-20 to the chain could be bridged to more than just the SuperChains, since Layerzero has more reach. So having a token standard that works with both could be ideal? Thank you very much for any thoughts. |

OFT tokens cannot be transferred via the SuperBridge (SuperchainERC20Bridge) using the mint/burn mechanism, as SuperBridge requires compliance with the ERC7802 interface, which is not part of the OFT standard. |

I have seen this message. So, it's best to wait for an official integration to happen. But theorically, it's possible to have both ERC7802 and OFT interface since minting and burning logic is written in the token contract. |
