Look into working with Digital Mums on social media strategy? #201
Comments
@markwilliamfirth Unclear why I've been assigned to this? I won't insist either way, I just think it's a good offering and a good opportunity we can provide someone with if their services are valuable. Happy to leave my assignment until after we've communicated the vision for this year as this can't happen before then. |
In terms of My takeaway from what FAC are doing now is that we wouldn't be getting strategic support - we would have to do the strategy part and the Digital Mum would do the tweeting (I think that's something they should have done rather than relying on the Digital Mum, who's doing on-the-job learning) Without a clear strategy and objectives, the end result will just be a lot of noise on the dwyl twitter account and I'm not seeing the benefit of it Especially for an org like dwyl, I don't necessarily see the sense in outsourcing your comms - you can tell when someone's just bunging some hashtags on the end of the tweet they've just bashed out OTOH, if you wanted to kickstart your social media presence, this is a pretty cheap first step 🤷♂️ |
We have no interest in a "social media presence" we need to focus all of our efforts on building the product. We will then hire a "Digital Mum" to help us UX Test and eventually to help us with Customer On-boarding, Support and Forum Answers. For now, let's "park" this. |
My experience of this through Founders & Coders is that it is useful but formulaic. It will be a good exercise in codifying our 'voice' , style and strategy but without using platforms like Instagram and Facebook (which we don't want to use dwyl/home#29) this is much less relevant. Thanks @rub1e ! |
Providing a part time job for a mother is a wonderful thing and starts to help us be aware of the flexibility we need to build into our system.
Once we've made a good start on time and know where we're going with it, we should seriously consider Digital Mums' brilliant offering: https://digitalmums.com/uploads/Programme-Partner-Brochure-2016.pdf (this was £350 + VAT two years ago when I first saw it).
