Is there a plan to add support for Azure Managed Identity or is that something the Azure SDK team should support?

Hi @johnayoub

Yes, we will be adding support for the same in SqlClient driver, it's planned for the next iteration.
In the meantime you can write your own methods to fetch access token and provide it to the driver for connection.
