I used matlab to get the attribute "units", and it is indeed a "?mol/kg". There was concern that ncdump was not reliable.
How do netcdf users know what the units are? How does joa and odv convert these ( which each successfully did) if the units are not given?
I checked a netcdf ctd file from 3250TN026_1 ( from 1993 ) and the units correctly show umol/kg.
