It seems zarr v3 is a major update (https://zarr.readthedocs.io/en/latest/user-guide/v3_migration.html). Any updates to scida needed before the version requirement of zarr can be unpinned?

We can start migrating. This will require dropping support for python3.9 and python 3.10.

Let's reconsider later this year. If/once we introduce kerchunk support, which only supports zarr v3 since the end of last year, we might naturally bump to zarr-v3 and py>=3.11.
