Description

The Find tool is too basic, which can make it difficult/time-consuming to search for content in a page (acronyms can raise many false positives e.g. RAM: ram, program, ramp, etc)

There should be an option to enable case sensitivity and whole words. Ideally diacritics too.

Firefox supports this

Edge supports this (has a toggle button for the dropdown – this UI probably best suits Brave as it looks most similar)

Case functionality already exists in Chromium but is not exposed in UI: https://superuser.com/a/192441

There's a lot of demand: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=687552

Steps to Reproduce

Press Ctrl+F

This used to be supported in the previous iteration of Brave. Source: brave/browser-laptop#11039 brave/browser-laptop#111

Vivaldi too has support

Looks like Edge implemented it 1 year ago like this (including "related matches"). Source
