Additional info on why getBucketTagging throw an exception when there is no tag on a bucket?

Hi everyone, I'm curious about it... I was trying to use the getBucketTagging function in an async/await manner and had end up to use something like this to handle the exception that is being thrown when a tag doesn't exist for a specific bucket:

s3.getBucketTagging({ Bucket: obj.Name }).promise()
.then((value) => obj.Tags = value.TagSet)
.catch(() => obj.Tags = []);

I know that documentation mentioned this:

But am I missing something to use in a more async/await way?

For other scenarios I was able to perform what I wanted:

// assign the promise into a property of my object.
for (let i = 0; i < result.Users.length; i += 1) {
    const obj = result.Users[i];
    obj.AccessKeysPromise = iam.listAccessKeys({ UserName: obj.UserName }).promise();
    data.items.push(obj);
}
...
// outside that for.
for (const obj of data.items) {
    obj.AccessKeys = (await obj.AccessKeysPromise).AccessKeyMetadata;
}
